Privacy Policy

You will be asked to provide personal information when you use some of our website services.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Any information you provide will only be used by WFCA in order to provide you with appropriate information or WFCA services.  

We may use information to compile statistics or data for research or to monitor and improve use of our services. Monitoring or research data about our service users is collated and provided in an anonymous format and individual users are not identifiable.

We will not pass your personal information to other agencies or to third parties for marketing or other purposes, except where we are required to do so by law or where this is a necessary part of the service you have requested (for example, in asking us to arrange a Carer's Assessment).

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. This site does not currently use cookies.  We may use them at some stage in the future and will update this policy if there is any change.

Our website contains links to other websites of interest. Once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. We cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.  

We do not pass information to third parties for marketing purposes but if you visit other websites through a link and provide them with your contact information then you should check how they use their data. Sites that may use or pass on information for direct marketing purposes should include a box you can click to indicate that you do not want your information to be used in this way.

Controlling your personal information

When you register to use our service you may choose how much information you provide (but some services will require some minimum information to enable us to provide the service to you or to establish that you are eligible for some of our funded activities).   

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held about you please contact us.

If you believe that any information we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at the address shown on our Contact Us page. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
